My Mind's Eye Monthly Challenge

Well, you know, I am a My Mind's Eye addict - so, of course, I had to play along with this month's sketch challenge. Besides using the sketch, you also had to incorporate black into the layout.

Years ago, there was a theme park, up near Boone, NC called the Land of Oz. It's been closed for decades, but every fall they have a festival up there. This is my nephew who got to have his face painted like his favorite Oz character - The Tin Man.

My MME papers are from Garden Vignettes (having an entire black and white paper pack really helped on this challenge!) I fussy cut a second piece of the background paper and popped the birds and branches up, so it would look like the Tin Man was walking through the forest.

Can't wait to see what next month's challenge will be!

Challenges:
MME: Sketch/black
Crafty Pad: Distressed edges
One Stitch at a Time: Embellish with your favorite things (handmade flowers)
ABC - "F" Flowers
Delightful Challenges: metal
Pixie Cottage: stitching
Cute Card Thursday: What's Bugging You
Mark's Finest Papers: stitching
