Welcome to day 2 of the May Arts Ribbon and Scor-Pal Blog Hop! I hope you have had a great time and have been inspired. I am so blessed to be a member of both of these fantastic companies - so I know you have seen some amazing projects. I hope you've left plenty of comments along the hop as well, for your chance to win Scor-Pals and a May Arts Ribbon Package (your choice of 3 spools!)
On to my project - I created folding card/mini album based on a tutorial by Natascha Banning on the Whiff of Joy blog. She calls hers a card, but by the time I added all of the paper layers, and inside flaps, I think it's more like a mini.
For the base, cut cardstock 6" x 12" and score at 4 3/4" and 10 1/4". Add your decorative papers, die cuts and handmade flowers. Use a hole punch to punch holes to tie the ribbon through to hold the album shut.
For the inside of the album, you are going to make a small accordion feature for the right hand side. Cut cardstock 4" x 12" and score at 4", and 8". Attach ribbon to the center back, using Scor-tape (this will wrap around the front to tie closed). Decorate the according album.
I used a banner sticker extending off of the page (above), but didn't want the sticky part to show on the backside (below). So instead, I backed it with a wide grosgrain ribbon, so that it would be pretty from either direction.
