Chapel Road Challenge

It's time again for a new Chapel Road Challenge. This is one of my favorite themes - you guessed it - vintage! Woo hoo!

We have some great new stamps that are perfect for the vintage look. For my tag, I used the Typing Time Set. I stamped the typewriter on some music sheet Designer Paper from Echo Park. I stamped another lady, colored her and popped her on top of the base image. The sentiment was stamped, punched and distressed. I topped everything off with some misted seam binding.

I hope you will play along with our challenge, and be sure to check out the rest of the DT's fabulous creations.

June's Beary Scrap Sketch - Part 2

Here is my 2nd project for the Beary Scrap's June sketch. This week I used the gorgeous papers from Prima's Reflections line. With a great sketch, a card can really come together quickly. I sprayed a Tattered Angels frame with Glimmer Mist, cut out a Spellbinder's butterfly, and added a couple of seam binding ribbons. For my butterfly's body, I added some white Kaisercraft pearls.

Remember, today is your last day to play along with us! We will be back with a new challenge tomorrow.

Flower Soft and Really Reasonable Ribbon Hop

Are you ready for some fun?

Come join us in a special blog hop with The Flower Soft & Really Reasonable Ribbon Design Teams!

As you make your way through the hop make sure you comment on each and every post. There will be 4 prize winners chosen randomly among the blogs.

Flower Soft and Really Reasonable Ribbon will each be selecting two winners (one person randomly from the entire blog hop and one each from someone who comments on their teams blogs) to win prize packages!

The blog hop ends on June 19th. The prize winners will be announced on The Flower Soft blog and Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings blogs on Monday June 20th.

This is a really fun hop for me, since I had been on the Really Reasonable Ribbon's DT awhile back. Bonnie is so sweet and has the best ribbons! I stamped by image using the Just For You stamp set. I added some floral highlights with Sunshine Yellow, Meadow and Poppy Red. I stamped the ribbon at the top, but used the red gingham ribbon from this month's ribbon club, and the Bow-easy to add a real life bow on top of the stamp. I used some of the white trim around my blue designer paper.

It's time to hop on to Angi's Blog - I'm sure she has something wonderful cooked up for you. If you get lost along the way, head back to the Flower Soft Blog for the entire hop list.

June's Beary Scrap Sketch

We have a great new sketch for you to play with at the Beary Scrap - very elegant. I recently got a bunch of Ranger's Alcohol Inks, and used them to created a background for my stamped image. Let me give you a warning though - if your gold mixative isn't squirting out like it should - don't squeeze it too hard, or you could end up with gold all over your desk, clothes and face - just sayin'....

After I got cleaned up, and my background had dried, I stamped the Chapel Road stamp using StazOn Ink. The flower was made using the Tim Hotlz Tattered Florals die.

You have until June 15th to play along with us - we can't wait to see what you will create!

Chapel Road Stamps Inspiration

I'm so excited to share my newest card using Chapel Road Stamps, because this is my very favorite stamp of theirs (well, at least at this moment!) - Pearl Earring.

I stamped my image on Ranger's Glossy cardstock, and embossed it with clear powder. I decided to stick with the elegant black and white theme by using some of MME's patterned papers.

A Rose for You

I really enjoyed my long weekend, and hope you did too! I wanted to finish my mini-vacation with a really fun card. I am crazy about vintage and had been playing around with some corrugated cardboard, and decided it would look great on this card. The stamp is one that I love from Crafty Secrets ( I tried to color the flower similar to a Tropicana Rose - one of my favorites!). I stamped and cut several layers of the rose and stacked them to get some realistic dimension. You know summer is here when the roses start blooming - and mine are already covered in blooms.

Wrapping up Nature with the Beary Scrap

It's the last day of the month, which also means it's the final day for our nature theme at the Beary Scrap. We hope you have had fun and been inspired.

I have a simple card to share with you today, but sometimes those can be the most striking. I used papers from Echo Park's For the Record and the Be Mine collection. So many of the Echo Park papers work well together from one collection to another. My stamp (from Tim Holtz) is embossed using Stampendous Detail Embossing Powder in black. I used some Distress Ink in Peeled Paint to tie all of my papers together. I really use my Distress Inks all of the time - for so many techniques.

We will have a new challenge up tomorrow, and hope that you will come play along. For those that entered the Nature challenge - good luck!
