My picture inspirationfor the Beary Scrap

Happy 4th of July Weekend! Tomorrow is the big day. I hope you have some fun plans for the holiday. When I first saw this inspiration picture, I knew exactly which stamp I would use - Warm Apple Pie from Belles N Whistles. I used copics to color her and then made the frame around her using Spellbinders Classic Frame. The papers are from Pink Paislee, 365 Degrees.

Have a great weekend and come back to see new inspiration from the Beary Scrappy Gals starting on Monday. We have a new challenge - to use embossing. You could win some great Bo Bunny goodies.

Card for Today

I really wanted to make a card using the sketch from Card Patterns this week. The deadline is in an hour and fifteen minutes, so I was kind of cutting it close! But, I am really happy with the results.

This cute little dragon stamp is by Nancy Hain for Stampavie. I always have a hard time coming up with masculine birthday cards, and this stamp was perfect!

Here are my challenges for this card:
Card Patterns - sketch
SAV Challenge #27- Dots
Paper Sundaes - Birthday
Practical Scrappers - Border punches
Lexi's Creations - Layers/ 3-D Decopauge

Let's Hear it for the Red, White and Blue!

I imagine there will be quite a bit of red, white and blue this week in blogland - after all, the 4th of July will be here this weekend! Our challenge at Karen's Doodles is just to use this color combo on your project along with any of Karen's adorable images. We give away a lot of images every week - and you might be one of the lucky winners!

For my card, I used Icecream. While this is not a 4th of July image, I think she is perfect for any summer day card.

Adele and Fresh Apples

The challenge at Copic Creations was "other paper." I must admit, I kind of turned up my nose and thought I did not want to color on other paper - I love my Gina K. paper too much. Well, I decided to go ahead and give it a go, and I love the results! I used some Bazzill kraft cardstock and colored with my copics. It turned out so vintage and yummy, perfect for this Stampavie stamp and for the Graphic 45 papers. I will definitely be using this technique again.
