I think artists have always embraced Earth Day - because we are always looking for
anything we can incorporate into our work - and when it's something that was going to be thrown out anyway - well, that's just icing on the cake.
Today, I have a video to share with you that turns a cardboard oatmeal canister into this fun mixed media treasure.
Using something that was headed to the dumpster is also very liberating - you don't have to be afraid to experiment. If you mess up, you're not out the expense of a canvas or some other store bought substrate. It's just plain fun! Start looking before you throw out. You will be amazed at the possibilities!
