The Beary Scrap - Spring and Ribbons

You have a few more days to enter the Beary Scrap's Spring Challenge - if you haven't done so yet. To wrap up the last few days of the challenge, we decided to add some ribbons to the mix.

Kimm has gotten so many wonderful new 6 x 6 designer pads in - and today, I have used Prima's Annalee collection. I added ribbons from May Arts and My Mind's eye. My stamp is from Heartfelt Creations, and I cut the frame using Spellbinder's Labels 2. The image was colored with Copics, and then I painted a light coat of Stickles over that.

Our new challenge will be posted on Friday, so mark your calendars to come back and play!

Belles n Whistles New Challenge!

It's time for a new challenge at Belles n Whistles - and today was my turn to host the challenge. Since I'm a sucker for anything shiny, I chose Glitter as the theme. You have two weeks to play along - you can use any Elisabeth Bell image ( not just the BnW images).

For my sparkly card, I used Princess Tales. I think she will be the Belle of the Ball, all dressed up in her glittery outfit!

Please take a look at the rest of the DT's wonderful creations!

Chapel Road Challenge

The last Friday of every month is the Chapel Road challenge. So today starts our new challenge - to use edge punches and the colour blue! Easy peasy, right?

Let me tell you about my card.
1. I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Angle set onto a light blue cardstock. Then I cut it using the Fleur de lis Squares from Spellbinders.
2. Next I cut a plain square frame from darker blue cardstock, and glued it on top of my Fleur de Lis frame.
3. On the same darker blue cardstock, I stamped in blue - so it is a tone on tone effect - the Butterfly Background. I framed this with the Fleur de Lis Rectangle - going back to the light blue.
4. I stamped a large butterfly from the Butterfly Angle set, cut it out, colored it with Smooch inks and shaped it to make it more realistic.
5. I just added ribbon and pearls to complete the card.

We would love for you to come play along with us!

Chapel Road Stamps Inspiration

I have a super easy card to share with you tonight using a couple of stamp sets from Chapel Road/ Class Act. The fancy part of my card is the embossed background that was made with a Cuttlebug folder. After it was embossed and inked, then I used some Webster's Pages paper to back the opening. I stamped several butterflies from the Butterfly Square set in a shade slightly darker than my paper. Then, I stamped over the top of those with my birthday sentiment from Birthday Abermarle set. The silk ribbon bow was attached using a star charm pin.

Be sure to mark your calendars for the last Friday of each month. That's when we have the Chapel Road challenge ( and there is a prize to be won!)

Well, I guess sleep is over-rated anyhow! So, I used one of my lovely Flourishes stamp - and I'm really hoping I will win some more to play with!

PSA Essentials Luck of the Irish Blog Hop

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Welcome to the 2nd stop on the PSA Essentials Luck of the Irish Blog Hop. Do you have any special plans for the day? I'm making Reubens tonight with home made corned beef - yum! Well, you will certainly want to include this Blog Hop on your list of fun things to do today, because Libby is offering a fantastic prize. To play along and enter to win “The Luck of the Irish”, hop to each of the blogs and leave a comment telling the designer what you like about her work. Leave a comment on the PSA Blog and also become a follower (if you aren’t already!) She will choose one lucky person at random to win a custom stamp, 3 Peel & Stick packs, 2 inks & 1 alignment tool. That’s a retail value of $150 – good luck!

For my card I used a St. Patrick's stamp set from Flourishes. I picked out my cardstock first and then realized how great it looked with the Echo Park - For the Record paper laying on my desk. I guess it was a "little luck of the Irish" to just happen to match so perfectly!

Your next stop on this hop, is my sweet friend Jeanne. You only have until 12:00 am on 3/18 to enter - so you might want to get hopping!

Just in case you get lost along the way, here is the full list for the hop. Good luck!

Dream

When my husband asked me to make something cool to decorate his classroom, I decided this banner would be a great inspiration piece - DREAM. It's really very sparkly in person - lots of layers of Smooch! The flowers are from the fantastic new Spellbinder's dies by Donna Salazar - Carnation Creations. I added some netting between the layers. For the leaves, I achieved a really shabby look by cutting them from Grunge paper, then painting them with Crackle paint in Shabby Shutters and then spritzing it with Smooch.

Flower Soft Hop - $50 Prize!

Welcome to another Flower Soft Hop. Today,The Flower Soft team will be showing you fun ways to use Flower Soft Card Toppers. You should have arrived here from my talented friend Debbie Seyer's blog. If not, you may want to go back to the Flower Soft blog and start there- you don't want to miss leaving a comment on any of the blogs, because...

One lucky blog hopper who comments on all the blogs will win a $50 Flower Soft gift certificate so comment on every post along the way!

The blog hop will remain open until Tuesday March 22nd. The winner will be announced on the Flower Soft blog on March 23rd.

If you get lost along the way please visit the Flower Soft blog where there will be a complete list of the Flower Soft Hop participants.

I used a topper from the very pretty collection - Country Village. You can build great layers in just a few minutes with just a few snips of the scissors and some foam adhesives. Add a little Flower Soft in Sweet Pea and Meadow, and it's like magic!

Now you will want to head over and see what gorgeous creation the sweet Cibele Glazer has to share with you!
