May Arts, and Xyron and LYB- Oh, My!

I am so lucky to work with such fabulous companies, and this week two of the teams that I'm on - May Arts Ribbon and Xyron have teamed up with Little Yellow Bicycle. How fun is that?  So today, I have on my May Arts DT hat, and have a layout to share.  Friday, I will be back with my Xyron hat on to share another project with you.  You know the Ribbon Lady is going to be giving away some ribbon this week - 3 spools to the lucky commenter.  So leave as many comments on the Ribbonistas blogs as you want - each comment gets you an entry to win.  And Friday, there will be a big giveaway package with May Arts, Xyron and LYB!

I love this picture of my nephew when he was a baby - couldn't you just eat him up!  I used a border sticker from the LYB Poppy line for my ribbon treatment on the bottom right corner.  I gathered the polka dot ribbon and adhered it to the sticker.  I used the new Xyron High Tack Tape to adhere the Chevron Stripe ribbon above it.  I had not noticed the checked ribbon I used beside my picture, until a sample came - and let me tell you -this is one of my new favorite ribbons.  I'll be adding some of those to my ribbon stash!

Another one of my favorite Xyron tricks is making my own dimensional adhesives.  I go through this stuff, so having an economical way to make my own has saved me so much money.  If you haven't tried this, all you have to do is buy a sheet of craft foam at your local craft store, and run it through your Creatopia or Creative Station Machine, and put permanent adhesive on both sides.  I used my DIY foam adhesives to layer the die cut flowers.

So here are all of the details that you need to know:

Little Yellow Bicycle

Words or Whatever Chipboard, Mask
Clearsnap Ink

And so you don't miss a thing, here is the schedule for when the Ribbonistas will be posting this week. Be sure to check the Xyron and LYB blogs for more inspiration from their designers.

Heartfelt Creations and Scor-Pal

I've got a special treat for you today. Scor-pal and Heartfelt Creations have teamed up to bring you a wonderful week of projects.  Be sure to check out the Scor-Pal Blog every day , and the Heartfelt Creations blog today, for all of the gorgeous creations. Sometimes a simple structure is best, if you want to add lots of beautiful embellishments.  That's why I decided to make a very simple basket, to really show off the gorgeous Heartfelt Creations products.

Take a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock, and score at 4" and 8".  Turn the paper to the right and score again at 4" and 8".  Cut the corner blocks away, leaving a cross shape. (Leave a 1/2" tab on both sides of the upper and lower center squares to adhere the sides of the basket together.)

Apply Scor-tape to the tabs and assemble the basket.

Cut a strip of paper for the handle, and decorate with Parisian Accents border die cuts. Also add ribbon to the middle of the handle. Attach handle to the inside of the basket with the tape. That's it for the basic structure.  Easy-peasy.

Next add decorative paper panels to the inside and outside of the basket.  Die cut 4 sets of the Ornate Gateway dies, and adhere to each of the front panels. Stamp, cut and shape the Striped Sun Kissed Flowers.  Add to the top of the handle.  Add pearls to the center of the flowers and along the border of the handle. Take a bought oval tag, stamp the sentiment and heat emboss with powder.  Stamp the birdhouse over the sentiment.  Ink the edges, and glue a small flower to the lower corner.  Cut two of the Ornate gateway toppers, and add to the sides of the tag.  Finish with ribbon and twine to attach the tag to the basket.

Heartfelt Creations Inspiration

Heartfelt Creations' latest collection is Gateway to the Seasons - so this collection has everything you need to create beautiful projects throughout the year.  Last week, I shared a wintery card - so next up in the seasons, is Spring.

Directions 6 x6 card
Cut the base panel of the card from the patterned paper. Ink the edges. Stamp the Spring Season chair stamp onto a square panel of lightly colored patterned paper.  Die cut the gates and ink the edges.  Glue the edges of the gate to either side of the stamped scene. Adhere lace above the gates. Cut the rectangle tag from the paper and stamp with sentiment. Place over lace. Stamp, die cut and shape the Sun Kisser Fleur to create the flower to place to the left of the gate.  Add 3-D Paint and pearls to finish the flower.  Die cut greenery and place around the flower.  Tie a wired bow and glue beneath the flower.

Bo Bunny Card Challenge

Bo Bunny's Card challenge this month is to make a masculine card.  Well since it was Father's Day, I made this card for my Daddy.  And of course, I do think he is the best dad in the world!

Bo Bunny Sketch Challenge

I had so much fun today playing along with the Bo Bunny Sketch for June, and just thought I would share it with you.  This is a photo of my parents taken a few years ago, at a family trip to Mount Mitchell.  My parents are so sweet and the most amazing role models anyone could ask for.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Xyron and Epiphany Crafts - Day Four Blog Hop

It's so much fun when two awesome companies pair up to bring you a week of inspiration - and this week Xyron and Epiphany Crafts have teamed up.  Be sure to check out the blogs for more inspiration and giveaways.

I've come up with a 3-in-1 Box to share with you today.  You may ask, what do you mean, 3-in-1?  Well, at first glance you see a single project....but the sliding lid to this box is actually, a tag.

And inside this little box, is tucked an adorable mini album.

So here is the whole set shown together.  I think this will be a perfect idea to use anytime I need to put together a little gift for someone.
