Michelle Perkett Love Letter Blog Hop

The blog hops that we have at Michelle Perkett's Studio are always so inspiring! I am sure that this hop will be no different. You should have arrived here from the lovely Maria's blog. If you just stumbled here, you may want to go back to the beginning, Michelle Perkett's blog, so that you don't miss any of the wonderful creations. After my blog, you will want to fly over to Melissa's fantastic blog, and see what lovely creations she has in store for you.

My love letter is for my husband. We are coming up on our 1 year anniversary, and it has been so wonderful! We were friends way back in high school, but we each went our separate ways and each unfortunately found our own share of sorrow and heartbreak. After over 20 years, we contacted each other through Facebook, and the love story began. I have never been able to share my heart with someone the way I can with Richard. We were truly meant for each other and feel so blessed by God with this love.

Creative Inspirations Challenge - Red and Black

It has been two weeks, so it's time for another fun challenge at Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog. Today, we are asking you to make a project with the colors red and black. For my card, I used the Princess of the Orient image from Sassy Studio Designs. I colored her with copics and framed her with my new Spellbinders Labels 3. For the 2 narrow panels on the left, I used Tattered Angels in black gold and one of their screens as a resist to make the scrolly pattern. I also used Tattered Angels on my rose that I made using Tim Holtz Grunge paper and nestabilities blossom set. I used the sketch from Get Sketchy.

So here are the challenges for this card:
Creative Inspirations - Red and Black
Flourishes - Frame it
Allsorts - Distressed with a button and bow
Simon Says Challenge - Picture inspiration (of a rose)
Get Sketchy - sketch
Cuttlebug challenge - Glimmer mist with a mask
ABC Challenge - "n" New - new Spellbinders - plus this is a Chinese New Year's Card

Thanks a Bunch!

This is one of my favorite Flourishes stamps, so it should be no surprise that I would choose it for my favorite stamp challenge at Flourishes this week. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. This is also for the Everybody Art Challenge, which is to make a thank you card.

House Mouse and Friends

I don't remember a winter with as much snow and ice as this one, since I was a little girl. I am ready for warm summer days! So this card is to remind me, that winter can only last so long!

I used the sketch from House Mouse and Friends. Isn't this just the cutest stamp?

This is also for these challenges:
Cupcake Crafts - Four Legged and Furry
Flourishes - Pop it Up ( My flower in the glass is popped up)
Crafty Catz - lilac and lemon
Dutch Dare - Summer in the Winter

Pretty in Pink, (and lemon and green and plum!)

This is the last of the challenges for Flourishes one year anniversary celebration, and it's a sketch challenge. I used a stamp from Whimsy Stamps and used the color combination of pink, lemon, green and plum for the Kaboodle challenge.

Hope Your Birthday is Just Peachy

I am working my way through 6 challenges at Flourishes, and this challenge is to make a Fruity Birthday card. So, I used the peach stamp from Flourishes and added a Birthday sentiment. I used the sketch from Create 4 Fun. Also, I used polka-dotted paper for the Spots and Dots challenge at Cute Card Thursday.

Treats for your Sweets!

At Michelle Perkett Studio Challenge this week, we decided to help you get ready for Valentine's Day, by asking you to make a treat holder and tag. I used Michelle's Lulu image and made a twist-top box, and a very large tag. I also used the adorable Justrite Baking Stamp Ensemble around my apertures on my box and on the medallions.

We hope you will have fun participating in this weeks challenge!

My projects are also for:
Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential - Bigger is Better
Justrite Stamps- Valentines
