Tilda Waiting on Her Ride
I was lucky enough to grab this Prom Queen Tilda from the Fairytale line quickly! This collection is so adorable! To go along with the whole fairytale theme, I wanted Tilda to sit on her pumpkin, waiting for it to turn into her magical carriage. This is the first time I've made a criss-cross pocket card, and it gave me a perfect place to hide the carriage. (The carriage is Whimsy's new digital version of the Princess Coach.) I'm so glad that this image is now available digitally, because it was so nice to scale it down to go on my note.
Here are my challenges:
Design Dollies Color Challenge - Brown, orange, teal
Roses on Paper - Sketch
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Make a Scene
Just Magnolia - Anything Goes
Magnolia Down Under - Charms
Stamp Something - Charmed
Stamp, Scrap, Doodle- girlie
By the Cute and Girlie - Fairytales

April Showers with The Beary Scrap
Ok, so I know that April Showers really refers to all of the tons of rain that we get each spring, but when I was hunting for a great image to use for this week's theme at The Beary Scrap, I just chuckled when I thought how fun it would be to use a more literal inspiration for my piece.
The cute image is from Karen's Doodles and is colored with my very loved copics. I adore the paper that I used - Pink Paislee's Queen Bee. The colors are just my favorites. Did you notice the really cool die cut that is behind my image? I know you are thinking, what Spellbinders is that? Well, it's not. It is from the Queen Bee Flip Notes. These are really supposed to be journaling spots, but don't they make perfect mats for cards?!! It comes in a pack of 24( 12 different designs) - that coordinate with the whole paper pack. I love this product! I traced around the edge of the note with a copic C-5 pen, just to finish it off a little more. On one of my layers, I added some fancy machine stitching and glued a swarovski crystal in the center of each flower.
Here are my challenges for this card:
Cute Card Thursday - sketch
Belli Challenge - Die Cut Shapes
Quixotic - Make a Splash
Alota - Mother's Day
The Town Scrapper - Girlie
Stamp, Scrap, Doodle - Girlie
Digital Tuesdays - April Showers

I'd Purse-onally Like to Thank You
I would just like to say thank you to all of my followers and guests who stop by and look at my cards and creations! So this card is for you!
You know how every family has that crazy aunt, who is a tad eccentric, decorates a little too much for Christmas, but is still everyone's favorite aunt? I realized tonight, while I was making this card, that I'm that Aunt! I just kept piling on the embellishments, the glitz, the glimmer - and I thought, it's ok to be the crazy aunt! I'm definitely crazy in love with my nephews, so, I think it's a good thing.
My image is Oswalda Goes Shopping, by Chrissy Armstrong. I colored her with copics and popped her up on a cuttle-bugged mat with the sentiment (from MFT's) stamped directly onto the matting. I really love hand-made flowers, and this one I made using variegated wired ribbon.
Here are my challenges:
Sundays with Chrissy - Make it a Combo (combining digi stamps/ acrylic stamps)
Friday Sketchers - sketch
Clearly I Stamp - Get all Tied Up (with ribbon - I used velvet ribbon, and the gold trim)
One Stitch at a Time - Thank you
Practical Scrapers - Floss, fibers, ribbons
Corrosive - Paper piercing
Alota - Mother's Day
Cuttlebug Spot - At the Movies (One Flew Over the Coo Coo's Nest)
Kaboodle Doodles - Embossing
Stamp With Fun- Animals
Sophisticat - Distressing
DCRU - Earth Day embellishment (flower)
ABC - "S" Sparkle
Belli - Die Cut Shapes
Copics Colour Challenge - YG00, RV13, V91
Crafty Creations - Distressing

Creatalicious - Flowers and Wings
S2G - Flowers
Sew Many Challenges - Anything Goes
The Town Scrapper - Girly

I've been published!
The new online issue of SNR (Scrapbook News and Review) came out today, and I am thrilled to say that one of my cards was featured in an article about adding sheet music to your card. I can't post the card until the magazine is no longer current - but it used the really cute Meet Me at the Cafe image from MFT's.

Karen's Doodles times Two
It's time for another challenge from Karen's Doodles! and today we bring you a recipe challenge. Now, you will notice my title to this entry is "times two". This is what happens when you get so excited over the card that you are making, that you forget all about the recipe! I got ready to post my card on the DT blog, and realized I hadn't even thought about that recipe. So, as a result, I have two cards to share with you. One followed the recipe, and one was my own cookin!
So, after all that rambling, you would probably like to know what the secret recipe is - use 2 designer papers, 1 ribbon and 3 brads or gems. Pretty easy - just don't get carried away like I did. For my card, I used Home Tweet Home. I love bluebirds - they are always so cheerful.
This card is for the following challenges:
Crazy4Challenges - sketch
Totally Papercrafts - spring
Copics Colour Challenge - B93, E47, Y23
Alota - Mother's Day
Stamp Something - Something Layered (Karen is sponsoring the prize this week)
Now on to my second card! (which was really meant to be my first!) Anyone who knows me, knows that I love going to the beach. We are really blessed to have a beach house on a small island in South Carolina, and I'm itching to go. So, I had to have this image, On the Beach, as soon as I saw it. As you can see, this card did not follow the recipe - it had too many calories - lol.
Here are the challenges for this one:
Friday Sketchers - sketch
Paper Sundaes - No People
Papertake Weekly - Cutie Pie
Cute Card Thursday - Touchy Feely
Crafty Ann's Challenge - Let the Sunshine in
All Sorts - In Stitches
Stamp, Scrap, Doodle - Bows, Buttons, Bling
The Crafty Pad - Stitching
Doodle Palace - Funny Animals
We love seeing the great projects you come up with using Karen's images!
