Happy Father's Day from the Beary Scrap!
It looks like the Beary Scrap Girls have done a fantastic job keeping things masculine this week (and for a bunch of ladies who love our girlie-girl projects, I think that is pretty good!) I'm wrapping this week up with a Father's Day Card. My dad is the absolute hardest person in the world to buy a present for - so I am hoping that he will enjoy the card.
I really love My Mind's Eye Laundry Line paper - and it's on sale. You better hurry and grab some, because I'm feeling like I should hoard some for my stash. It can easily be masculine, although it has the most beautiful sparkle to it!
Remember, you still have time to play with our sketch challenge for a chance at a Beary Scrap shopping spree!
See you next week!

Paper and Ribbon Flower
Good morning! I recently saw a tutorial for making pleated paper flowers, and I thought, wow, wouldn't it be gorgeous to add some ribbon to the edge of the paper and combine the two? So, I tried it out and came up with this beauty. I added Old Gold satin edged ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I love the texture this added! The button in the center is an antique needle woven button from my stash. I thought it was just perfect with my Graphic 45 Papers.

Woo Hoo for Flower Soft
I just got great news last night - I was invited to be the guest designer for Flower Soft for July and August. This is such a cool project, and can add so much texture to your project.
The card I have to show you tonight, uses a little bit of Polar White Flower Soft for the waves crashing on the boat. It just took a tiny bit, but made such a big impact. My stamp is from By the Sea set from JustRite Stampers (love this set!) I stamped two of the images, and popped the boat and sea up to give it depth.
I used two types of ribbon to make by bow - Old gold satin edge and Old Gold Satin. I liked the contrast of the finishes of the ribbons together.
Thanks for looking and for all of the sweet comments that you leave!

Thrill of the Grill
Did you have a great weekend? Did you get a chance to cook out on your grill any? That is really one of my favorite things about summer (although I have to admit, I've been know to cook out any time of the year, including in the snow!)
The challenge this week at Karen's Doodles US team is to use embossing (wet or dry). I used this fabulous new image, the Thrill of the Grill. I embossed my "first place ribbon" with the Stars cuttlebug folder. I love how my DP looks like a picnic blanket.
Keeping with a manly theme, I added a stamped and cut out pocket on the inside of the card, to tuck one of my favorite picnic recipes. Maybe you will want to try our challenge and my recipe (it really is yummy! - just cut the broccoli really tiny with a food processor).

I hope you enjoyed playing along with the first Belles N Whistles challenge! Get ready for another fun one! My friend Andrea came up with the theme of punches and ribbons. You know you love using them anyway, so why not go for it?
Since we are getting into the full swing of summer, I used Splashing Good Times. Don't you think that it looks like they are sitting right in front of the sun?
You will have a week to play along with us.
