Die'sires Edgeables Only Words are Here!

So today is the day - you can get the Die'sire Edgeables - and aren't they wonderful!  You can either use these dies on the edge of your card, or you can create a panel like I did on this project.  Be sure to head over to the Crafter's Companion  Website to see the other available dies and watch our Facebook page to see more inspiration.

Father's Day Gift Bag

Here's a cute way to give Dad his treats this Father's Day. This shirt gift bag is quick and easy enough to get the kiddos in on the action as well. Think what fun it would be to have an ugly tie contest (and Dad wouldn't be stuck wearing it!)

Father's Day Gift Bag Supplies:
Step 1. Cut paper 10" x 11 1/2"
Step 2. With the kraft side facing up, the the short edge lined up across the top fence, score at 2".
Step 3. Turn the paper a quarter turn, counter-clockwise and score at 1/2", 2 1/2", 6", and 8". Go to the first large block (between 2 1/2" and 6"), score every 1/4" - just down to the horizontal score, to create the pinstripes for the front of the shirt.

Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT Blog Hop for May

Welcome, to the May Edition of the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog hop! The hop runs now through Friday night - at midnight.  And one lucky commenter, chosen from one of the stops on the blog hop, will win a $25 gift certificate to HC.  How great is that?  You get to hop around and see some wonderful projects, plus have the chance to win some goodies of your own!  The winner will be announced on Saturday, May 30th, and will have 72 hours to claim their prize.

I've really been enjoying coloring images lately, and thought that this gorgeous Fuchsia Bouquet would be fun to ink up.  I used Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and then added more shading using the Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils. They really just seem to pop off the page!  For the background I used the Decorative Oval Die and added pearls at the intersections.

Die'sires New Edgables for Crafter's Companion are Coming!

Oh my! You are going to love this new series of dies that are being released on Thursday - the Edgeables line is just so cool.  I love how this sentiment becomes the focal point on the card - and it's such an elegant design.  You are going to want to add all of these to your collection (but you will have to wait until Thursday!)

I Love You to the Moon

I'm back today to share a sweet vintage card.  Sometimes  detailed images, like this Mother and Child, can be slightly intimidating to color, but it is super easy.  I used Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers to color and then just cut out the image.  I matched the colors of the patterned paper with my markers.  The sentiment, To the Moon, was stamped on patterned paper to tie it all together.

Let Your Soul and Spirit Fly

I had so much fun creating this mixed media triptych and couldn't wait to share it with you.  The form was from Retro Cafe Art and it was exactly what I had been looking for.  After I misted the background,I added some gilding flakes and then started stamping the flat background images.  Then I used modeling paste and stencils to add French Script words.  I stamped the large Peony image onto vintage French dictionary pages using Versamark Ink and embossing powder.  After that was heat set, I fussy cut the image and adhered it to the panel.  I overstamped images and heat embossed them as well to add more dimension.  I love how these colors pop together!
