Heartfelt Creations Inpsiration

I am so thrilled to share with you that I will be serving another term on the Heartfelt Creations Design Team!  A big thank you to everyone that took the time to vote for me - and also a huge thanks to Emma Lou and Linda for letting me be a part of this fantastic company!  I think this will be my fourth term - so needless to say, this is a company that I really love - both the products and the people.  So....onto the card for today!

5 x 7 Congratulations Card
Cut the panel for the card from the Antiquity paper collection, ink the edges and adhere to the card base. Cut 2 sizes of Opulent ovals.  For the smaller, nested oval, stamp the image with watermark ink and emboss with gold.  Use watercolor pencils to fill in the image design.   Add the ovals to the base using foam adhesives. Die cut three of the larger Sweet Juliet dies - 2 in dark purple and one in light purple.  Fold the light purple flower as shown and use a brad to secure the petals together.  Cut the tips off of the dark purple flowers, shape and add as bottom layers to the folded flower. Stamp and cut the leaves with the corresponding die, and attach the flower and leaves to the card.  Finish with a bow.

Birthday Blessings with JustRite Stampers

I'm playing again with the fun Friday Challenge at JustRite Stampers - and the challenge this go round is a sketch. It was a pretty simple sketch, so it left lots of room for creativity and embellishing.

I used WorldWin Papers Matte Gold Kromekote paper cobined with the shades of purple to create a regal feel for this card.  I stamped and embossed the smaller image from Violette Vintage Labels twice - and colored them with gelatos.  I butted them up next to each other to form a larger shape, and layered that with JustRite's/Spellbinders Antique Labels One die.  I stamped the sentiment from Vintage Filagree Fancies, and embossed it with gold powder.

I love how this card turned out! It really has so much depth and texture and was so fun to create!

Xyron and Maya Road Week!

It's a new week - and the design team from Xyron has joined forces with Maya Road to bring you lots of fun projects this week. (Plus, there are usually prizes to be won, so check out the Xyron Blog and the Maya Road blog for more details!)

I created this adorable mini album to share with you today.  It started off as a natural color linen album and I colored it with Art Anthology Colorations sprays.

The chipboard bird was painted and I added the vintage angel wing.
I covered the pages with Basic Grey papers, using the Xyron 5" Creative Station to adhere the patterned papers to the book.
The book had chipboard and linen pages...so for the fabric, I used one of Maya Road's Wooden Granny Doilies as a mask to spray the page with Colorations.
Be sure to stop by the other designers participating today - and then come back all week long for more inspiration.
