Simon Says Punch It!

I think the Alota stamps are so cute, and my sweet sister stamped this image for me. It will be so nice for spring to get here, along with spring flowers! I framed the stamp with a scalloped square nestability and used the treading water punch for the inner border of my frame.

Here are the challenges for this card:
Simon Says Stamp - Punch it!
Pixie Cottage - sketch
Alota challenge- punches
Creative Card Crew - Punches
Stamp, Scrap, Doodle - Spring

Pearls and Girls

I love the images from Charmed Cards and Crafts, and stumbled upon their challenge blog this week. The challenge was to make a monotone card in shades of white/cream with a touch of brown. I also used my JustRite stamps for the sentiment - there challenge was to be squared.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, it is a friendship challenge, with the rule to use only black, white and silver. I stamped my flower from CTMH and embossed in white. I stacked circles cut from Spellbinders to make a black and white stack, and finally stamped my sentiment, " Side by side or far apart, true friends live within our heart."

You're a 10!

I got a chance to use one of my new Cuttlebug folders from the Romance collection (I love all of the folders in this set!). I also used my Gypsy for the first time to cut my sentiment using the Gypsy font.
Cuttlebug Spot - "All about 10"
Allsorts- Hearts and flowers
Creative Belli- Hearts
Crafty Catz - Love
Caardvarks - Red Heart

Have You Checked out the Gypsy Spot?

Have you been by The Gypsy Spot yet? I am just learning to use my Gypsy and I think it's going to be great! The Gypsy Spot is a challenge blog, but don't worry if you don't have a Gypsy yet - you just have to use your Cricut for the projects.

This week's challenge is Gold & Black and they are giving a new mini-cartridge for the prize. How cool is that? I'm hoping I will get to create a lovely black and gold project this weekend.

Dare to be Sassy Thursday - Pink and Brown

Hi Sassy Sistahs! It's Thursday, and you know that means it's time for another Dare to Be Sassy Challenge. Today is a snap! Use the colors pink and brown (aren't those just the sassiest colors?) Remember, you can win 2 SSD images of your choice by playing along with us, at the Sassy Studio Designs Blog.

Here is my card. I used Sweet Bubblegum Brittany. I colored her with copics, and colored an extra bubble, and popped it up for dimension. I used one of my new cuttlebug folders from the Romance collection, and made my sentiment using the Curlz font from Justrite Stamps (Justrite is having a challenge- Get Creative with Font). The sketch is from Friday Sketchers.

Also for:
Allsorts: pink and brown
Papertake Weekly - Pink
A Spoonful of Sugar - layering
Stamp, Scrap, Doodle - Girly

Brenda from Floral Fantasies is hosting a fabulous One-off Challenge and Blog Hop starting on the 1st February, with a rather special candy as the main prize and no ordinary candy, but a really serious piece of equipment that we would all love to have in our craft rooms. Apart from the main piece of candy there will also be other prizes to be won too.

Give the challenge a plug on your own blog

Add the above logo on your side bar with a link back to Brenda

Leave Brenda a comment on her special challenge and blog hop post to let her know that you have entered where the prize for this will be drawn on 31st January.

Shabby Chic in the Snow

Even though we have had some warmer weather, there is still snow in my front yard that has been there since the week before Christmas. I'm really sick of it, but instead of grumbling, I thought I would embrace it with this card.

I made the snow background paper with one of the new 5x7 cuttlebug folders - and colored the embossed snowflakes with copics, and then added a wash of shimmery white paint over the top for a nice shabby chic finish. I continued with the snow theme by using the Spellbinders snow frame and a Whiff of Joy, Herb the Snowman stamp. At Die Cuts R Us, the challenge was to use a left-over Christmas/holiday paper, so inside of my snow frame, I used some DP from Basic Grey, from the Figgy Pudding line. I love that you can no longer tell that it is wrapped presents, but you just see colors/patterns - just proving that you CAN use Christmas paper any time of the year! I spritzed the frame and the lace with Tattered Angels, and used a rub-on for my sentiment.

Here are my challenges for this snowy card:
Simon Says- Shabby Chic
Stamp Something- Blue and White
Charisma - Anything New (Spellbinders Snow Frame - or perhaps, New Fallen Snow)
Stamp with Fun- Snowflakes
Paper Sundaes- Sketch
DCRU- Leftovers
Basic Grey - Picture inspiration
Saturday Spotlight- Wild with Snowflakes
Fussy and Fancy- Winter
Crafty Creations- Texture
Everybody Art Challenge- Snowflakes
