Dance Like No One Is Watching

This is my favorite card that I have made (at least for now!) I used the sketch from the Midnight Magic Sketch Challenge #14. I combined this with the challenge from Copic Buzz Challenge to use an image from Mo's Digital Stamps I saw this image of Mummu and fell in love with the joy of this grandmother. My favorite detail that I added was the touch of antique lace peeking out of her skirt. I really enjoyed working with this image!

Cuttlebug Challenge 43 - Digi Stamps

Over at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot, they had a treat for us this week! Everyone who left a comment was given a digital stamp created by MlamarreDesigns. It was then the challenge to use the digi stamp for this week's project. I got to use several new products, my Martha Stewart loopy border and corner punch, and my new Flourished Frame folder.

First try at Copics!

Seeing everyone's great blogs and all of the wonderful artwork done with copic markers, I had to try my hand. I obviously have a lot to learn (and I have pretty limited color ranges), but it is so great to see so many tutorials online to help learn to use these great markers. I made this card for two challenges. The first was for Challenge 9 at Copic Creations, which was coloring eyes with copic markers. The next was for the Copic Buzz and the challenge was to shade clothing (I guess a grass skirt counts!) I have a long way to go, but I can tell this is going to be really fun!

2 challenges in One!

Don't you think it makes it even more challenging to combine several challenges into one? Plus, when you are running a little short on your creating time, it helps as well. This card uses a sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge week 13 found at http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2009/08/midnight-madness-week-13-mmsc13.html This also is my creation for Fit for Royalty from Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday challenge found at http://flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com/2009/08/fit-for-royalty-challenge.html I am new to both of these challenges, and must say, I really enjoyed them. For my card I embossed gold metal foil with the new Impressablities Diamond and Stars, and then used SEI's velvet paper for my accents. Christmas in July Cuttlebug Spot

So, I don't have a ton of Christmas folders, but I was able to use my new Stars folder. I love how deep this folder embosses.
