Monthly Blog Hop Really Reasonable Ribbon

On the 13th of each month, the Design Team for Really Reasonable Ribbon will host a blog hop. We will be highlighting different ribbons from the store - and every month, you will have the chance to win our Ribbon of the Month kit! How awesome is that? If you have been following the ribbon path to get here, you should have arrived from Mindy's blog. If you just stumbled upon this hop, then you will want to go back to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings to start. Be sure to leave a little love at each team member's post to be eligible to win this month's kit.

Besides loving ribbon, I am also a shoe girl. I have seen these adorable 3 dimensional shoes popping up all over blogland and wanted to give it a try. I used the template from Artful Affirmations.
I originally made this flower for a card, but...it turned out a little bigger than I thought it would, so decided it would make a perfect shoe ornament. I used 1.5" wide dark purple grosgrain ribbon, and used a folding and stitching technique to form the shape. I sewed Swarovski crystals in the center folds to help define the shape. Underneath the rosette, I added a simple bow of gorgeous old gold silk. Finally, you may recognize the brown looped organza from this month's ribbon club. I love that ribbon!

Thanks for looking at my project! Your next stop on the hop is Amber's Blog. I know she will have something wonderful to share with you.

Challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Shiney, Sparkly, Special
ABC - "U" unused stash (Czech glass button and DP's)
Alota - flowers
Crafty Angels - One for the girls
Quixotic - DIY flowers
Wild Flower Wednesday - Ribbon, sparkles, dimension
