May Arts Autism Awareness Day Blog Hop

Welcome to May Arts' Autism Awareness Day Blog Hop! The seventh annual World Autism Awareness Day is April 2, 2014. Every year, autism organizations around the world celebrate the day with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events.

Did you know ...
  • Autism now affects 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys
  • Autism prevalence figures are growing
  • Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the U.S.
  • Autism costs a family $60,000 a year on average
  • Boys are nearly five times more likely than girls to have autism
  • There is no medical detection or cure for autism

Thank you for joining us in this very special hop!  Of course, there will be a prize - because it is a May Arts hop! Leave comments on any of the stops for entries to win
3 spools from our "blue" ribbons - winner's choice.

I was inspired by the words on this plaque found on Pinterest
for my mini album and incorporated them into my pages.

What a fun mini album. I love the words. Every single one of them describe my son who struggles with autism. He has taught me so much through his struggles. He has makes me smile and laugh every day!!!
