Travel the World Co- Hop with Paper House and Xyron

Welcome to the second day of the Xyron and Paper House Travel the World blog hop!  All this week the designers from Xyron and Paper House will be inspiring you with fun projects.

I worked with the Endless Summer paper pix (which is probably a fitting choice, since I really haven't done any world traveling - but have had my share of sun filled beach days!). I've created a kind  of edgy, modern canvas. And I will show you just how I did it.

 1.  Paint canvas with gesso and color with mists. Let dry.

 2.  Use the chevron paper to create embellishments.  Run a solid sheet through the Xyron 5" Creative Station.

 3.  After the adhesive is applied, then cut out the chevrons.  This is so much easier than working with the small pieces and will save so much time.

 4.  Apply the chevrons to the canvas.

 5.  Fussy cut the beach houses and sun from the patterned paper.  Use the Creative Station to apply the adhesive to these pieces and add to the canvas.

 6.  Trace around the chevrons with a Stabilo pencil, and then smudge with water/paintbrush.

 7.  Use gelatos to add color to the sun.

8.  Use the Xyron/Teresa Collins Clear Hold Adhesive to apply net. Finish with the dimensional stickers.

LOVE this project. I have never worked with gelatos, another technique for me to try.
