I used a topper from the very pretty collection - Country Village. You can build great layers in just a few minutes with just a few snips of the scissors and some foam adhesives. Add a little Flower Soft in Sweet Pea and Meadow, and it's like magic!

Heartfelt Creation and Scrap-Mart Blog Hop

I hope you have been enjoying all of the lovely Heartfelt Creations projects this week! I know I have been inspired everyday.

I wanted to share an altered box with you for my stop on the hop. Heartfelt Creations Dies and Stamps are so versatile - they are great not only for cards, but also layouts, home decor, altered items - really anything that you can think up!

Other: Maya Road Chipboard box; Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist; Smooch ink (gold); clear embossing powder, Stickles glitter glue.

To make my own designer paper, I took a page from an old phone book and randomly stamped one of the smaller Flora Grande stamps over the paper in Versamark ink. I embossed with clear embossing powder and then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist. I cut and measured the paper to wrap around the box and glued it on.

The top of this box had a heavy vellum insert. I stamped the flower image on this as well. The flourish was cut from the Decorative Dutch Iris die set, and had accents of gold Smooch in added along the edges.

For the flower, I used 3 sizes of stamps, and cut two of each size. After these were stamped and cut, then I colored the white watercolor paper with Glimmer Mist. I shaped the petals while they were damp, then let dry completely before assembling with dimensional adhesives. I brushed on a thin layer of Stickles and added a pearl to the center.

Chapel Road Stamps Inspiration

I have another card to share with you today using Chapel Road Stamps. I began by stamping the Butterfly Square onto white watercolor paper. I added distress inks over the image in Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, and Black Soot. I put a few drops of Dusty Concord re-inker into a mini-mister and sprayed over the image. I stamped a second image, and colored the butterfly using Aquarell watercolor crayons. I cut this butterfly out and attached it using dimensional adhesives.

What a Catch 12 x12 Layout - This is a picture of my grandmother throwing her bouquet in the early 1940's. I just stumbled upon this photo recently and loved all of the vintage details of the picture.

Flowers: Stamp one image per size for each flower onto watercolor paper. Cut using the Blossom 3 die set, and with scissors, cut the petals apart towards the flower center. Spray with Glimmer Mist to color and crumple. Straighten each flower back out ,shape and dry. Use tacky glue to add glass glitter to the edge of the petals. Assemble flowers with a dimensional adhesive between each layer. Add a sparkler for the center.
Leaves: Stamp and emboss the leaf images using gold embossing powder. Cut the leaves with the Nested leaves die set. Color using Smooch Spritz (olive). Shape the leaves using an embossing stylus. Allow to dry and add to page using dimensional adhesives.
Other: Cut flourishes from the Decorative Dutch Iris die set, and add as desired around the layout. Color chipboard with gold Smooch and glimmer mist. Stamp the sentiment into the chipboard using the Sparrow font ChipArt alphabet set . Add vintage metallic ribbon and arrange as shown.

Stamp and color the Iris Oval - and cut out. Stamp just the flower head and one bud from the Dutch Iris Medley set. Cut out using the Dutch Iris Die and color. Add Flowersoft for the center of the flower. Attach these to the oval base using dimensional adhesives. Run olive cardstock through the Grand Caliber using an embossing folder. Ink the edges and embossed area with the Distress ink. Cut and emboss a Decorative oval window die and use to frame the oval Iris. Cut a gold mat using the Scalloped Squares Grand. Assemble all of the layers adding dimensional adhesive as desired. Add pearls to finish the card.

Stamp the Iris Frame using white pigment ink on black cardstock. Allow to dry. Color the image using colored pencils. Cut and mount on layers using dimensional adhesive. Add ribbons as desired.

Beary Scrap sketch and a Thank You!

It's time for another version of this month's sketch at the Beary Scrap. Since we are celebrating our one year birthday, we wanted to thank all of our loyal followers - you all are the best! So, this thank you is for helping make our first year so successful.

I got to break into my Echo Park For the Record paper. I really love it! I inked all of the edges using Distress Ink. I just think this pulls a card together. The rose was made using Glimmer Mist, Vintage German Glass Glitter (brown) and the Spellbinders/ Donna Salazar Rose Creations die set. That gorgeous pearl flourish is from Zva Creations (which will soon be appearing at TBS!)

Chapel Road Stamps Inspiration

Well, today is my first official post for the Chapel Road/Class Act Design team. I hope this card will bring some cheer to you today!

I stamped the Butterfly Background using Versamark ink, and embossed it in gold. Then I sprayed Glimmer Mist in various shades of orange over it to color my background paper. I stamped the sentiment from Butterfly Square using Versafine ink in onyx black and tore the edges. I added some ribbon and black pearls to my layers to finish everything off.

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! I've got a couple of cards for Heartfelt Creations to share today. Next week we will have a new collection to reveal, and you are going to love it!

Other: Copics ( RV91, RV93, RV95, RV99, YG03, YG95), Glimmer Mist (Periwinkle), Smooch (gold), Bo Bunny patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock, Clear embossing powder, purple embossing powder, ribbon, pearls, Versamark Embossing pen, Versamark ink

Stamp the tulip image onto Cryogen White paper using black Memento ink. Color with copics. Color over the entire image with the Versamark pen and emboss the image with clear embossing powder. Take the stained glass background and stamp over the image with Versamark embossing ink. Emboss using the purple powder. Spray the entire image with Glimmer Mist and wipe off the excess. The Glimmer Mist will not color the areas that are embossed. Cut the image to fit inside the Decorative Oval Window.

Cut, emboss and stencil an oval window. Use Gold Smooch to add the stenciled highlights. Attach the stained glass image. Cut the largest die from the Lattice Rectangles and run ribbon through. Use dimensional adhesives to glue the layers together as shown. Add pearls to finish.

Stamp the pansy frame and color with copics. Fussy cut inside and outside the frame. Ink the edges with Peeled Paint distress ink. Stamp the sentiment on cardstock and mount the frame on top of the sentiment with dimensional adhesives. Cut, emboss and ink the decorative strip from the Floral Doily Accent set. Add ribbon to finish

JustRite Challenge

This is a card that I made using Graphic 45's latest collection - Le Cirque. This is such a fun and whimsical line - I just love it!

The current challenge at JustRite is Direct to Rubber. I chose to use the Rock and Roll technique to add two colors to my stamp. The sentiment was stamped separately in black ink and covered in glossy accents. All of my stamps are from the new You Inspire Me set - such a gorgeous set!

Graphic 45 Love

I really love Graphic 45! So of course, when I saw that they were holding a DT call, I knew that I wanted to give it a try. Their paper and embellishments are like no one else's. The vintage style, the colors, the imagery...every thing about this line is so creative and wonderful - and it fits my style of crafting to a tee!
