I had this large wooden dimensional Christmas tree from Kaisercraft that I wanted to glitz up a bit.
I painted it liberally with Helmar's Craft and Hobby PVA glue, and then sprinkled it with glitter (and yes, I am still sparkling and problably will be months from now!)
After my glue and glitter was all dry, it was time for my ribbon. Lots and lots of ribbon bows made from May Arts 5/8" Sheer Ruffle ribbon.
I used about 10 yards of this ribbon and just tied a single knot in each piece to cover the base of my tree.
I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to attach these bows, which worked out perfectly, because there were too many bows to have to wait long for my glue to dry!
So here is the finished product!
I hope you are enjoying Day One of this hop. Now you need to head on to Carisa Zgloblicki's blog.

Hmm, I wonder if you could mix the glitter in with the PVA glue the way some do with Mod Podge, making it slightly less messy?
I love the texture all those little bows gave to the base of the tree!

I love that you did something completely different with both the ribbon and the Helmar adhesives. It turned out beautifully and it is so inspiring to see something new!

The wooden 'tree' is definitely improved with the "glitz" and pretty bows.
