Don't Follow Your Dreams, Chase Them

I thought this hot air balloon stamp was so cool, when I saw it from Viva Las VegaStamps! and knew I had to have it.

This is a super easy fold card, but I think it's really nice for a more masculine type card.

Cut your paper 6 x 12 and score at 3" and 6".  That's it!

Add a die cut frame to the front panel for your sentiment, and decorate how you like.

Creative Paperclay and Viva Las Vegastamps!

Link
This month, Creative Paperclay® Modeling Material has had the chance to play with Viva Las Vegastamps! When I was picking out my stamps, I had a mixed media piece in mind, with a chicken theme. I have to admit, it just didn't turn out how I planned, so I made a fun card with my own egg embellishments.

I used the Children with Cat and Chickens stamp. I love how it looks like a vintage photo, but it really is a stamp! To make my eggs, I rolled out some Delight™ Air Dry Modeling Compound into an egg shape, let it dry a little bit, and then, sliced the back off so it would lie flat on my card.
I colored the eggs with Distress Stains, and after that was dry, covered them with Sakura Crystal Lacquer. These eggs could be really fun for your spring and Easter projects too! The Delight™ really is a delight to work with - it's very light weight, snow white and clean to mold. I love working with it!

I think it's cool when one idea doesn't work out the way that you think it will, but it leads you to something new on your creative journey.

Winter Wishes

During November, the DT for Sakura Hobby Craft has had the opportunity to play with stamps from Viva Las VegaStamps! There are tons of stamps to choose from, but when I saw Lady with a Snowglobe, I knew this image would be the perfect companion for my Sakura goodies!

Any time a stamp has something that is supposed to be glass on it - I want to cover it in Crystal Lacquer! So the snow globe really caught my attention. I sprinkled some fine, transparent glitter around the edges, while it was still wet to make it look like the glittery snow inside. The other cool embellishment that I added were some of the Gem Particles to the confetti background. Weren't they perfect there?

I hope you will take a look at the tons of stamps that Viva Las VegaStamps has to offer, and remember how cool they are with you Sakura Hobby Craft products!

The Robin's Nest Teams Up with Viva Las VegaStamps

It's been a fun month at the Robin's Nest! We have been getting to play with some really fun stamps from Viva Las VegaStamps! I've made lots of Halloween projects this year, so I thought - who says that Halloween can't be pink and black? Now, I'm sure you are thinking that the Robin's Nest didn't happen to have their Boo Words paper in pink, and you're right! But with a little Taffy Pink Smooch and some fussy cutting, I had my sentiment ready for a girly Halloween.

Be sure and mark your calendars for October 31st - The Robin's Nest will be having a great blog hop with candy at every stop (and this candy won't even add any calories!)
