Upcycling with Xyron Tutorial

Before you take that trash out, look at it with creative eyes... because with little effort or expense you can upcycle what would be headed to the landfill into something lovely and useful.
I used this Laughing Cow Cheese container and created the fun project shown above.  If you would like to try it - here are the easy directions.

Trace around the container and cut a top and bottom from patterned paper.

Use the Xyron 5" Creative Station to apply adhesive to the back of the paper.

Paint the edges of the container.  After the paint is dry, apply the patterned paper.

Use the Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker to apply adhesive to ribbon.  Choose a ribbon that is no wider than the edges of the container.

Decorate the box as desired.  I created a handmade flower with a vintage shank button for the center.  After assembling the flower, use a Crop-a-Dile to punch a hole in the center.  Fit the button shank into the hole and glue in place using the Xyron/Teresa Collins liquid adhesive.

Add a stamped tag and pearl flourish to finish.
