Bring On Spring!

After the big snow storm we received last week - I am hoping that things will kind of be back to normal this week!  But while I was snowed in, I did have a chance to create some projects that I will be sharing with you this week.  I decided to play along with two challenges for today's card - Lindy's Stamp Gang color inspiration and JustRite's Friday Challenge (which was to use Butterflies and/or flowers).

I love how great these colors worked with the JustRite stamps!  I stamped the Fleuriste Newsprint Background stamp with Versamark ink and embossed with Morning Glory Azure powder.  I spritzed the image with Opal Sea Oats.  I stamped and embossed a second image, and fussy cut the main image.  I used a Versamark pen to color inside the design and heat emboss the ribbons and butterflies using the Morning Glory Azure and Hollyhock Scarlet Plum powders.  I then glued this to the base, but allowed the butterfly wing to stick up, for dimension.

The flowers were die cut from Spellbinders Rose Creations and more of the Hollyhock Scarlet Plum embossing powder was added to them, after they were shaped.  The greenery was die cut using Spellbinders Foliage 2 and Spellbinders Tiger Lilies.  After they were cut they were embossed using Desert Moon Turquoise and Starbright Gold Green.

These are both such fun challenges! I hope you will join in and share your creations!
