Words or Whatever - Wow Chipboard Release
Are you ready for some yummy new chipboard from Words or Whatever? and maybe a few new AltaMatz templates as well? Then pull up a chair, and have a look! Be sure to go over to the Words or Whatever blog to see more of the new release and what the rest of the team came up with.
I used the Happy Days title for this layout. I've layered lots of fussy cutting as well as banners and handmade flowers nestled in a velvet ribbon lattice.
For this Adorable Baby Layout, I inked around the new Birds on a Wire AltaMatz, and then traced around it with a metallic pen to give more definiation.

Chalkboard Tag
The chalkboard craze is everywhere - so I thought I would try a tag using this technique. I started off with a black tag, and stamped the background using Hampton Art's stamp Passage to France. I really didn't want to add color to this classic look - so I kept all of my diecuts white. The flower really reminds me of a Cosmo.

Scorpal's Bunches of Beautiful Boxes - Lexicon of Love
Want a quick and easy way to spruce up a deck of playing cards? How about a custom box? The original Lexicon Of Love tutorial, by Leslie Miller , but my updated version uses the latest edition of the Scor-Pal making this cute idea even easier! The patterned paper from Webster's Pages seemed like the perfect choice, while adding just a slight bit of humor
Supplies:
Cardstock 5 3/4 x 7"
Patterned Paper
(2). 2 3/8 x 3 3/8
(2) 5/8" x 3 3/8
Ink
Twine
Cut the cardstock to 5 3/4" x 7". Line the 7 inch side along the upper fence, and in the upper left corner. Score at 3/4", 3 1/4", 4" and 6 1/2". Turn the paper so the 5 3/4" side is aligned in the upper left corner and score at 3/4", 4 1/4" and 5".
Trim the flaps as shown.
Add the patterned papers as shown, and assemble with the Scor-Tape.
Add some playing cards, and you are all set for some fun!

Today's Beautiful Moments
Do you ever see a piece of paper, and just want to keep holding it, because it is so beautiful? That's how I feel about the WorldWin Petallics. They are the most elegant papers ever! The beautiful colors are so shimmery due to the mica-infused coating. I wanted to create a card that really played up these characteristics, so I thought dry embossing would do the trick.
On this side view, you can see the shimmer a little better. And look how gorgeous this paper accepts stamping and heat embossing. This is a 5x 7" card - and the really great thing, is that WorldWin has matching envelopes in 5 different sizes in the Autumn Hay ( and 12 other Petallic colors).

Blowing Bubbles
I love going through old photos, and being reminded of wonderful memories. My dear nephew was just learning to blow bubbles and was mesmerized by them. Hard to believe it's been 5 years since this picture was taken!
I love making Cheery Lynn Designs flowers, and always make them quite dimensional - but somehow for this layout, I decided having the flowers flat, almost as part of the patterned paper was the look that I wanted. So give yourself permission to use your dies any and every way. They are so versatile!
